Andy Hebert
My name is Andy Hebert, and I teach journalism and study skills at Crowley High School.  This is my 17th year as a teacher, and I have only taught at CHS. My peers voted me as the 2003 school teacher of the year.  I am the newspaper sponsor, and I am also the webmaster for the school website. My journalism students are responsible for writing stories, taking pictures, updating the school website with information and slideshows, and posting stories to this website.  Originally from New Iberia, I have lived in Crowley for 23 years. I have my Bachelor’s degree in mass communications, my Master’s degree in educational leadership, and my special education mild-moderate certification, all from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Go Cajuns!! I have been the Crowley Cub Scout Pack 347 Cubmaster for three years, and I am in my first year as the Evangeline Area Council Roundtable Commissioner.  I am a reader at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, and I am also on the St. Michael Parish Council. I have volunteered as a photographer for the International Rice Festival for five years. I have been married to my beautiful wife, Stephanie, for 20 years, and we have two children, Anna-Kate, 16, and Zack, 12.
