LaGrange Leads Ladies Past Marksville

Crowley High’s Nella LaGrange returned from a wrist injury to help the No. 4 Ladies to an easy 10-0 victory over the Marksville Lady Tigers in the Class 3A bi-district playoffs here Friday.

LaGrange finished the game with nine strikeouts and only allowed one hit.

The Ladies took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning when Jocelyn Marceaux drew a leadoff walk and scored on Lily Hoffpauir’s RBI single to the left field.

The Ladies pushed the lead to 6-1 with five more runs in the second inning.

The Ladies then scored another run in the fourth on a two-out double to left field by Sckylier Baronet.

The Ladies put finishing touches on the game in the bottom of the fifth with three more runs.

Hoffpauir was the offensive leader for the Ladies with a 3-for-4 performance and two RBI. Phobee Spell followed with a double, a triple and three RBI. Baronet had a pair of doubles and an RBI.  Alana Abshire added a triple and two RBI.  Kelsey Lagasca and Marceaux each had a hit and one RBI. Payton Breaux, Mallory LeBlanc and Lagrange each had a single.
