Ladies Finish 4th in Class 3A Track and Field Behind Kneeland, Williams

BATON ROUGE – Ajah Kneeland and Anijah Williams combined for 29 of Crowley’s 39 points to help lead the Ladies to a fourth-place showing in the team standings at the Class 3A State Track and Field Championships Saturday at LSU’s Bernie Moore Stadium.

Kneeland scored 16 of the points by finishing second in the 100-meter hurdles (15.50) and the triple jump (34-0).

Williams scored 13 points during the meet; she captured Crowley’s only title by winning the 400-meter dash in a time of 57.35.

The team of Williams, Tamyeia Guillory, Kaitlyn George, and Jaelyn Johnson also placed second in the 4×400-meter relay (4:07.47). That same team finished fourth in the 4×200 (1:45.67). Williams also placed ninth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.65.

Johnson took sixth-place in the 400 (1:01.76) and Taylor Walker was seventh in the high jump (4-8).

The Crowley Gents finished 30th with six points. Tyron Goodley was the top Gent as he placed third in the triple jump with a mark of 43-10.

Obadiah Butler ran a 22.73 in the 200-meter dash to finish seventh, and 4×400-meter relay team of Butler, Jeremy Johnson, Tyler Carrier, and Marquis Garrett placed eighth with a time of 3:36.66.
