Ladies Start Strong En Route to 13-2 Victory

PORT BARRE – The Crowley Ladies scored nine runs over the first three frames en route to a 13-2 victory over the Port Barre Lady Devils here Tuesday.

The Ladies are currently 21-6 overall, 10-3 in District 5-3A.

Crowley led 3-0 after two innings and pushed the lead to 9-0 with six more runs in the third.  They added two more runs in the fourth and fifth innings to end the game due to the mercy rule.

Nella LaGrange was the winning pitcher for Crowley, striking out two and allowing one run on four hits in three innings.  Sckylier Baronet pitched the last two innings, striking out three and giving up one run on two hits.

Hitting for the Ladies were Alana Abshire (two hits, two RBI), Hannah Abshire (two hits, two RBI), Payton Breaux (two hits, one triple, one RBI), Phobee Spell (one double, two RBI), Kelsey Lagasca (one single, one RBI), Cienna O’Donnell (one single, one RBI), Baronet (one single), LaGrange (one single), and Jocelyn Marceaux (one single).
