Sophomore hurdler Deontai Primeaux struck out nine Northwest Raiders to help the Crowley Gents to a 16-0 victory here Tuesday.

The Gents improved to 9-7 overall and 2-2 in the league play with the victory.

Primeaux allowed just four hits in five innings.

Leading 1-0, Crowley broke open the game with nine more runs in the third inning.  Six more runs crossed the plate in the fourth inning.

Hitting for Crowley were Randy Hanks (3-for-4, one triple, three RBI), Zan Habetz (two singles, two doubles, one RBI), Randy Fontenot (single), and Grant Russell (RBI).

Crowley 10, Northwest 0

The Crowley Gents also defeated the Northwest Raiders 10-0 on Saturday.

Grant Russell was the winning pitcher after striking out five, walking two, and allowing one hit.

The Gents scored three runs over the first two innings for an early 3-0 lead.  They added five more runs in the third inning to extend the lead 8-0.

Hitting for Crowley were Russell (2-for-3, one double, one RBI), Randy Fontenot (two  hits, two  RBI), Alyx Duhon (one hit, two RBI), Randy Hanks (one hit, one RBI), Logan Vidrine (one single), and T.J. Mire (one single).
