The Crowley Ladies rolled to an easy 61-23 victory over the Port Barre Lady Devils here Friday.

With the win, the Ladies improved to 12-9 overall and 5-3 in the district.

The Ladies led 17-7 after one quarter and 37-15 by halftime by outscoring Port Barre 20-8 in the second quarter.  The lead ballooned to 35 (53-18) as Crowley outscored Port Barre 16-3 in the third quarter.

Marcy Miller scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Ladies. Also scoring in double figures for Crowley was Tyzanekia Price with 14 points.

The rest of the scoring for the Ladies were Caithin Dregin with six points, Lily Hoffpauir with six points, Mira’Nekia Lastrapes with five points, Imani Jackson with four points, Taylor Perkins with four points, Kentaysia Wilridge with two points.

Crowley Gents 42, Port Barre Red Devils 31

The Crowley Gents pulled out a 42-31 win over the Port Barre Red Devils here Friday.

With the win, the Gents are now 12-8 overall, 5-1 in the district.

The Gents led 19-16 at halftime.  Crowley outscored Port Barre 23-15 in the second half.

Marquarius Thorne was Crowley’s top scorer with 17 points. Braeden Board also added 10  points.

Also scoring for the Gents were Bryan Montgomery with eight points, Noah Hayes with four points, Marquis Garrett with two points, and Ronderick Nelson with one point.
