The Crowley Gents pulled away in the second half for a 67-55 victory over the Iota Bulldogs here Tuesday.

The Gents improved to 9-8 overall, 2-1 in league play.

The Gents only led 33-30 at halftime, but they increased it to 49-41 going into the final frame by outscoring Iota 16-11 in the third.  Crowley outscored Iota 17-14 in the fourth.

Marquarius Thorne recorded a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds. He also blocked four shots.  Braeden Board added 17 points, six rebounds, and four blocks.  Bryan Montgomery scored 12 points, and he also had eight rebounds and six assists.  Ronderick Nelson had six points.  Marquis Garrett and Noah Hayes each had four points.

Iota 41, Crowley 35

The Crowley Ladies fell behind by over 10 points in the first half and couldn’t recover for a 41-25 loss to the Iota Lady Bulldogs here Tuesday.

The Ladies dropped to 9-9 overall, 2-3 in District 5-3A.

Iota led 26-10 by halftime.  Crowley closed the gap slightly by outscoring Iota 13-11 in the third.

Marcy Miller paced the ladies with 19 points. Also scoring for the Ladies were Imani Jackson with nine points, Lilly Hoffpauir with five points, and Taylor Perkins with two points.
