Crowley High School celebrated its annual Homecoming Week from Oct. 1-5 with activities such as the traditional dress up days, a pep rally, and a school dance.

Three students who participated in the Homecoming activities were sophomore Daegan Castille, senior Isabella Reyes, and junior Kennedi Stelly.

The dress up days were “Character Day” on Monday, “Tacky Tourist Day” on Tuesday, “Nerd vs. Jock Day!” on Wednesday, “Jersey Day” on Thursday, and the annual “Spirit Day” on Friday.

Castille admitted that she dressed up every day.  “Monday, I was Jenny from Forrest Gump; Tuesday, I wore tacky tourist clothes; Wednesday, I wore a jersey and face paint; Thursday, I wore an LSU shirt and a tiger tail; and Friday, I wore my cheer uniform.”

Castille also mentioned her favorite dress up days.  “My favorite days were Tacky Tourist Day and Jock vs. Nerd Day!  I liked my costumes for both of those days, so that’s why they were my favorite.”

She added that she and her boyfriend matched everyday to make it more creative for the both of them.

Castille, who is a cheerleader for CHS, mentioned that what she enjoyed most about the Homecoming pep rally was performing with the color guard.  “I think it’s something we’ve never done before, and it was fun to do, so I’m sure everyone enjoyed watching it.”

Castille was also in the parade.  “I was in the parade wearing my crown and banner because I’m 2018 Teen Miss Crowley.”

Castille  did attend the school Homecoming dance on the following Saturday night with her boyfriend.  “What I liked most about it was the music,” she said. .

She also thinks she will always remember this Homecoming.  “I had a great week, spent that night with all of my friends, and the day after the dance was my 16th birthday.”

Reyes, who was a member of the Homecoming Court, said she enjoyed Homecoming week as well.

Reyes also participated in all of the dress up days.  “Monday, I dressed up as Selena, Tuesday as a tourist, Wednesday as a nerd, Thursday, I wore an Alabama shirt, and Friday, I wore green and gold.”

Reyes also participate in the homecoming court. Her favorite dress up day was tacky tourists day because she enjoyed wearing a fany pack and sunglasses.

Reyes did attend the homecoming dance and her favorite thing about it was the decorations and the backdrop for the pictures.

ite days were tacky tourists day and green and gold day because she thought they were fun and the school had the most spirit those days.

She also attended the dance; she went with a group of friends and she enjoyed the music.

Castille’s thoughts on future years for homecoming week is for more school spirit, Reyes’s thoughts are to have a pajama dress up day, and Stelly’s thoughts are we should do a boys pageant with dresses and wigs to make the week of homecoming more fun.
