The Crowley Gents opened the Northside Christian Tournament with a 53-38 victory over the Delcambre Panthers here Thursday.

The Gents, led by Marquarius Thorne’s game-high 20 points, led 30-21 by halftime and pushed the lead to 46-28 after three periods after outscoring the Panthers 16-7 in the third.

Braeden Board also scored in double figures with 14 points.  Also scoring for Crowley were Tyler Carrier with eight points, Dylan Hunter with three points, and Kyris Savoy, Bryan Montgomery, Ronderick Nelson, and Jaylon Smith each finished with two points.
