The Elton Lady Indians defeated the Crowley Ladies 44-40 here in the season opener Tuesday.

The Ladies outscored Elton 14-6  in the final period, but it wasn’t enough. Elton led 19-11 after the first period and 28-19 at halftime. Elton also led 38-26 after the third period.

Leading the Ladies in scoring were Taylor Perkins with 16, Miyra’neika Lastrapes with 8 points, Taylor Walker with seven points, Marcy Miller with four points, Tyzaneka Price with three points, and Caithin Dregin with two points.
